Autumn Brushtrokes
Kanata Civic Art Gallery’s latest exhibition “Autumn Brushtrokes” is now open! Celebrate the colour and imagery of autumn in paintings, photographs, textile, glass and sculpture. The show is on until November 26, 2024.
Kanata Civic Art Gallery is located in the Mlacak Centre, 2500 Campeau Drive, Ottawa.
Art Lending of Ottawa
ALO is a wonderful organization that allows you to buy or rent original art. It is a great way to see how a piece or art works in your space, or to keep your walls looking fresh with the changing seasons.
Our next show is on December 14th, 10am-4pm at the Jim Durrell Recreation Centre, 1265 Walkley Rd. There’s free parking, free admission and door prizes! I’ll have several pieces available and if there is something you’d like to see there, just drop me a note.

Poetry of Place
Sometimes we find a spot that resonates in our hearts. We embrace it. It brings us comfort and makes us dance. At those times, we feel at one with our surroundings. Other times, we are divided by space - physical space, emotional space and intellectual space.
This series celebrates these spaces, whether they offer us wide open vistas to play in, or shelters to bring us protection and comfort.
Essence of Place ~
Galapagos Islands
Wind and ocean currents, unique land formations and endemic species all combine to create an amazing wonder of nature in the Galapagos Islands. There is a true sense of place here as we are surrounded by the zen of sea turtles, the frolicking of sea lions and the beautiful dances and dives of the colourful birds. To be privileged to see this biodiversity is to experience the wonder and awe of nature.
